The new experience of my life

 A dream came true....

We all have dreams in life. I also had a dream in life. That is enter to a university .I still remember the day when I found out that into the university. . I was the first person from our family to get selected to a university. Both my sisters went to teacher training colleges. Everyone was very happy that day. I was selected to the University of the visual and performing arts .Very few people in Sri Lanka get this opportunity. I am very happy that I got that blessing.😇 

 I was most curiously awaiting  the day start my college life. After months of online studies we were invited to the university .I had to go there from Dehiwala hostel. I still remember the day my parents left me there. They hugged me cried. I have never lived away from home. When I thought that I was going to stay in Colombo city, I felt lonely. Fortunately, I got some good friends. Because of them, I don't feel alone there.

So ,I went to university with them. The first day we went there was a new experience for all of us. I entered the university premises with new hopes and aspiration. I was glad that the university a new sight. It was quite different from what I had seen in and around our school. I came  across many unknown faces.

I had some strange experiences on the first day on my university life. There is no restriction of uniform.  I observed that the students are free their moments. They can do things according to their choices. I found all the newly admitted students in university. They were all happy to make new friends.I moved around with my friends. University is very attractive. It is situated near by the Nelum pokuna theater.

On first day we all are attended to the lectures together. I found that method of teaching in  university is different from that school. Each subjects taught by specializing teachers. professors do not rebuke the if they fail to learn their lessons. They simply tell the students to be conscious of their responsibilities. The students find their homely atmosphere which they lack in the school. For this  they feel easy and comfortable here.

Since it was the first day, the children were all together. After the lectures, everyone went to the hostel together. In the first weak seniors were came with us. Because we are not yet familiar with the university or the city of Colombo. They very kindly taught us things. After a while we got used to things, so we got used to going alone. Because it's getting late finished the lectures, we come from the hostel early in the morning and come back very late at night. We stayed that way for about a month. 

We learned a lot during that time. The friends who were with me were very friendly like sisters. After such a month, we returned home. When I went there on the first day, I felt lonely. but  I felt very sad when I left my friends .Every day was very special. Every day gave me new experiences, so I am waiting for when I will get that unique experience again .And I am looking forward to seeing my friends again😊
